A series of portrait and fashion work shot primarily in studio, with the subject and a single strong idea carrying each frame. The range here runs from clean, high-key color portraits to darker, low-key work against black, and from tight beauty close-ups to full-length fashion looks. Styling stays deliberate but uncluttered — a straw hat, a red scarf, a feather wrap, a length of orange fabric — used to shape the image rather than crowd it. Lighting moves between soft seamless backdrops and harder directional natural light, depending on what the face and the mood call for.

Most of these were made in a SoHo studio in New York City, though the series also includes location work from Paris, Auckland, and Frankfurt — natural light, city backdrops, a different register than the studio frames. Across all of it the aim is the same: a set of images a model can actually use, frames that read on a comp card, in a book, and on social.

I work with a wide range of models — different looks, different stages, from first test shoots to more developed editorial collaborations — and credit every collaborator. Many of the people in this series reached out directly after seeing the work, which is how I prefer it.

If you're a model interested in collaborating, the studio is set up for color and black-and-white portrait and fashion work in New York City, and I shoot on location as well. New collaborations are always welcome — reach out through the contact page or Instagram.
